Axess Ultrasound Achieves Industry-Leading Quality Accreditation
INDIANAPOLIS (Dec. 1, 2008) - Axess Ultrasound, a leader in after-market ultrasound services, recently met necessary requirements to become a Sonora-accredited probe repair laboratory in accordance with ISO 9001/13485.
"Although this has been a long and intensive process, the results mean our valued customers can rely on the safety and efficacy of our probe repair process," said Jack Dill, executive director of Axess Ultrasound. "We are delighted to be one of only three sites in the world to hold this distinguished accreditation."
Facilitated by ISO 9001-certified Sonora Medical Systems, the accreditation process included rigorous review of policies and procedures to comply with top-quality principles outlined by the International Standardization Organization.
Offering everything ultrasound from repair to technical support to training, Axess Ultrasound serves thousands of customers in 37 states and 11 countries internationally. Its field service professionals diagnose and repair ultrasound systems, transducers and circuit boards - helping hospitals, physicians, imaging centers, and other group practices avoid major expenses by repairing instead of replacing equipment.
In fact, nearly 25 percent of clinical probes require repair or replacement every year, making it one of the fastest-growing segments in the ultrasound after-market. 1
"In addition to helping customers save money, we are dedicated to keeping diagnostic ultrasound equipment functional so they can focus on their patients," Dill added.
